Hey guys, I have no idea where this game came from, I just saw it for the first time at my game store today and decided to check out the website. The game looks fantastic. I have been playing World of Warcraft for the last 3 months, i hit lvl 60 and now iam bored. My question is, for those of you who have played World of Warcraft, is this game better? worse? the same? unconparable?

My second question is, is there any class that is far more superior, or for that matter, worse then any other class? For instance, in WoW, the warrior was so horrible, while the rogue had a lot of advantages. Iam not asking this so i can go make one of these chars, just for information. I've already decided to be a necromancer if i get this game.

I had one more, but i cant remember it. thanks for the help in advance!

Glad the game caught your eye.

I can't answer the first one.... but as to your second question, the classes are very balanced in Guid Wars. There is no ONE profession that is superior, and thus, how good your character is depends on your skills and you have about 4 skill trees to choose from per profession.

As a necro, you'll have death magic, blood magic, curses, and soul reaping to play with. Here's the list of all the skills: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/skill.php

From what I understand, the game is made of instances, so if you not in a group, you will never see ANYONE outside of a town? that doesnt seem fun. The thing about World of Warcraft is that i can be fighting a mob and, say iam losing, someone else who just happens to be walking by can help me.

Also, I hear theres no PVP unless both people agree, so you cant just go around killing people? Is there no "pvp" server? I dont even know how this would work, because you never see anyone else because the whole thing is instanced. If the information I just gatherd is correct, iam not impressed.

no loot stealing
only pvp by consent with the opponent

you may not be impressed but the people who do pvp seem to think it is the best yet

i do pve and have a very good time

also no woodchopping
mining
music playing
spending 100 hours making a knife

I played WoW and loved it, I also like this game, though it is very different. I did not PvP in WoW but will give it a try here as it looks like fun. The PvE in GW is also great.

No. That doesn't happen in this game. The PvP in this game has a purpose. There are actual goals involved. Imagine that.

A company who actually put logic back into the gaming community for PvP'ers.

So go back to WoW, and pay your Dad's $14.99 a month fee and we'll be here having a good time enjoying our game.

Hmm.. I dont want to start any agruments or anything, but I think that the games are very different and that comparing them in terms of quality will only be... misleading, at best.

I personally own and play both. They are very different styles of play depending on which you are in the mood for.

I have played WoW since the stress test and since it launched. I love WoW in the fact that i have always been a big blizzard fan. Yes WoW is a very very good MMO, but it has its downfalls.

First the amount of time spent playing the game is amazing compared to guildwars. In guild wars i was able to level up to level 6 without getting bored once. In WoW i got bored just about every night when i hit 40. The class system in GW is great. All the classes have their own pros and cons depending on your play style, but the best part is that it is extremely balanced. In WoW that was the thing that always pissed me off, not being able to have a fighting chance against a certain class just because they hae some moves capable of xxxx amount of damage.

I suggest playing GW i have had a blast so far. Havent played the PvP but i did play it in a couple of the beta events and it was great since you actually had a purpose to pvp which made the fights seem more realistic.

Try GW you wont be let down!!!
